New Hospice Administrator


Muheza Hospice Care has been taken under the wing of the Anglican Diocese of Tanga and Bishop Maimbo Mndolwa has appointed Clare Chizazi to be the hospice administrator.

Clare has been associated with the hospice over many years and comes with a huge amount of experience in both palliative care and administration.  After gaining her first degree in wild life management, she came to MHC as a volunteer in 2003 managing the finances of the antiretroviral (ARV)  programme amongst her many tasks. During this time she visited South Africa to study Hospice Administration. In 2005 she was employed by PEPFAR to run the care and treatment of HIV programme for the hospital. She was promoted to be the hospital secretary in 2009 and managed this job together with studying for a Masters in Health Systems Management.

Clare  will be a huge asset to the hospice and is determined to carry it into a new era. As well as working full time she has 2 small children, Laurent and Helen
